After receiving a customized QUOTE via email ( available for 7 days only ), a booking fee of 20% is required to book a wedding with Silvia and her team. The booking fee ( deposit ) is NON- refundable and NON-transferable. As received into the nominated account, we will confirm and lock in your selected event date.

The remaining outstanding balance will be sent 2 weeks out and is due 1 week before the wedding day. For special events that require fewer services or single ones, a non-refundable deposit fee of $100 may be necessary to secure the booking.

By paying the deposit and confirming your booking, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below.

Once payment is confirmed that date will be yours and I will turn away any further requests for your date. Any last-minute booking (e.g. 14 days or less until the date of your booking) is payable in full upfront to secure your booking.

The Client must notify Silvia as soon as possible of any additional services required on the date. The Artist reserves the right to refuse the provision of services that are additional to those specified in the quote and not agreed to prior to the date of service.

Where TBC is written for a service date or extra service in the quote provided, Silvia will endeavor to provide that service on a date that is preferable to the client, however, the provision of that service is subject to the Artist's availability.

However, the client cannot downsize the number of total services agreed upon in the initial quote, as the booking was accepted by Silvia based on the initial number of invoiced services. The client can replace the people stated initially, in any case, the client still needs to pay for the total number of services agreed upon in the initial quote.

Note: Due busy wedding season (October-April / Friday, Saturday, Sunday) Silvia requires a wedding booking to be a minimum of 5 single services ( hair or makeup). 

cancellations & postponements

All cancellations must be made in writing via email.

WEDDINGS - your booking fee of 20% is NON-refundable and NON-transferable.

In the unlikely event Silvia cannot perform the service due to sickness, injury, personal emergency, or any other circumstances beyond their control, another artist from Silvia's team will replace her on the day.

For bigger bookings that require more services, one or more artists from Silvia's team will assist her. Silvia has an incredible team of artists on board that meet the same high standards as she has, so they can accommodate any size bridal party. If the client is not pleased to have a team member replacement for their wedding day, %100 of the deposit the client has paid will be refunded.

GENERAL BOOKINGS - The final balance for special occasion group bookings is due on the day of the event via bank transfer or cash as one single payment. The person responsible for the entire balance of payment is the one who has paid the deposit and has secured the booking.
If for any reason you must cancel less than 48 hours or you do not show up for your appointment, your deposit is 100% NON-REFUNDABLE and cannot be put into another booking in the future. Silvia will have turned away other bookings and the loss of work needs to be covered.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

travel fees

Travel fees will be incurred depending on the distance of travel required. There is a set amount of $1 NZD per KM return from Silvia's home studio in East Auckland. The travel fee includes car usage, petrol, travel time, and the whole hustle of packing/unpacking / carrying the hair & makeup kit to your location. For bridal trials or single special occasion bookings you are welcome to come to Silvia's home studio - no travel fee applied.

When contacting Silvia for an appointment, please provide your address so she can give you an accurate travel price. If the location of the service changes after the agreed-upon quotation is given and/or the deposit is paid, Silvia will adjust the travel fee accordingly.

For all inner city locations please arrange parking - if this is not possible parking is to be reimbursed. The minimum mobile service call-out for other events (except weddings) is 2 services / 2 people otherwise the client can come to Silvia’s home studio in East Auckland.

Waiheke Island weddings have a standard $300 per artist travel fee. This pays for the inner city parking, ferry ticket, and travel time on the ferry + taxi on the island ( locations within 10 km from Kennedy Point Ferry Terminal).

early morning fees

Early morning fees of $30 (per artist) for each hour prior to 8 am arrival will be applied depending on your start hour.

duration of services

Each service requires a certain length of time to be finished and is not to exceed the time limit due to client delays either during or prior to makeup application. Usually, a makeup application requires between 60-90 min. All makeup styles have false eyelashes and a touch-up kit included in the price.

60 min - soft glam
90 min - full glam makeup

A hairstyle duration depends on the desired hairstyle, length, and thickness of the client's hair.

Short hair - 45 min
Medium- long hair - 60 min
Very long and thick hair - 90 min.

Hair extensions application will require another 15-20 min to the initial time and also will incur an extra fee of $30. The client can use their own hair extensions if needed ( only a +$30 application fee will apply), or you can rent them from Silvia for $80 ( rent + styling included), and return them personally or via postage in the following week.

If the client's hair is extra long ( below the waist) and extra thick, an extra long hair fee of $50 will apply to the initial flat fee.

Please note that Silvia does not provide hairdressing services like full blow dry, cut, and color. We do hairstyle on completely dry hair.

delays

All persons involved in the booking need to be available at the scheduled time at the same location and consecutive in time ( no gaps in between).

When booking your appointment please be mindful of the time you are booking for. If the Client is MORE THAN 15 minutes late to your appointment, it is under Silvia’s discretion to cancel the appointment.

A late fee of $25 will be charged for every 15 minutes of delay when a client is late for a scheduled appointment time, or if the scheduled makeup time exceeds the allocated time because of the Client being late. Also please avoid all distractions when having your makeup/hair done, like: eating, excessive talking on the phone, etc.

This late policy is the same for Trial Runs and other Special Occasion bookings. This is Non-negotiable.

If Silvia is requested and required to overstay, (provided we are able to stay pending our other appointments), the client will be charged $50 per half an hour exceeded per artist required to overstay the appointment in half-hour increments only.

wedding/event day

INSPO: Please have reference images of the look you want so we can talk through ideas and plan the best look to suit you. Without the reference image, it is hard to describe what you want. You are welcome to email these to Silvia in advance.

SKIN: On arrival please have fresh clean skin, no makeup on. Apply your regular moisturizer (no SPF). Exfoliate your face and keep your skin well hydrated. If you have allergies or preferences please disclose them prior to the appointment.

HAIR: Please have clean dry hair. Washed either that morning or the night before and blow-dried. If your hair is very thin and puffy, you can smooth it out lightly with a hair straightener. Please do not put any products on your hair like oil, serum or leave-in products, etc.

A personalized Timeline will be sent to you via email 1 week prior to your wedding to help the hair &makeup run smoothly. This will include more details regarding skin/hair preparation prior to your booking

supplies & equipment/ safety

When performing the services, Silvia & team will use their own supplies and equipment. The client must have available power outlets, adequate natural lighting, and clean and safe conditions for Silvia to work in. A big dining table is ideal to set up, especially for a team of 2-3 artists.

Please do not offer low coffee tables, bathrooms, bedrooms, or any dark, small spaces to set up. We carry a lot of gear and we need natural light and large spaces. Exceptions: hotel rooms.

If it deems that the environment is not of adequate sanitary or safety standards to work in, Silvia reserves the right to refuse the services and the deposit will not be refunded or transferrable.

 Hair & Makeup Artists have a lot of gear. A dining table near natural light is best (near a window is perfect). Also please provide a bar stool/higher chair for makeup application if you have one.

If you have any cats or dogs in the getting ready location, please advise Silvia prior. For bigger / more excited dogs Silvia prefers for them to be kept separated in a different room if possible. Considering hot tools and very expensive kits/gear we are working with, we prefer to keep everyone safe and with minimum or no damage.

photos & testimonials

On the wedding/event day photos & videos will be taken for Social Media purposes. Please let Silvia know prior to your wedding day/event if you are not comfortable with these being posted.

After your Wedding, I would love to see/post some of your professional photos from your photographer and if you could email me the link to your full gallery, that would be much appreciated. Also, you are welcome to leave a review on our Google page.

extra people wanting makeup/
hair on the dAY

If any additional people require styling on the day but do not have a booking, this is normally not a problem and extra payment can be in cash at the time of the appointment prior to us starting the service.

It is recommended to give me a notice if others in attendance want styling so arrangements can be made. I recommend that numbers for styling are confirmed in advance to avoid potential disappointment when we may not be able to cater to extras.

BRIDAL TRIAL

I recommend having your bridal trial 1-2 months before your wedding date. Trials can be booked at my home studio in East Auckland in weekdays only between 10am-2pm and can take up to 3 hours for Hair & Makeup, and around between 1.5h-2h for makeup or hair only. Due to the nature of Silvia's work, weekends are taken up with weddings.

Please bring along your hair accessories/veil, hair extensions if you require them and any photos of hair styles you'd like to try. Please have your hair washed and blow dried smooth for the trial. 

LIABILITY & INDEMNITY

All brushes, makeup products, and hair tools are kept sanitary and sanitized between every makeup application. Makeup products used are skin care-based and /or hypoallergenic. Any skin condition should be reported by the client to Silvia prior to application. The client agrees to release Silvia and all her collaborators from liability for any skin complications due to an allergic reaction.
